Managing your digital footprint

How do I attend?

Go to Managing your digital footprint and select ‘Join Room’. The room remains closed until the trainer has entered - this will usually be 15 minutes before the start time.

Benefits

This 30 minute interactive session is about managing your digital footprint. It will explain how a digital footprint is created and what to look out for when you use the Internet or engage with social media. You will learn how to use social media in a professional and responsible way that can be beneficial for your studies and work.

Who's it for?

Any OU member (staff or student) who would like to learn more about their digital footprint.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this session you should:

  • be able to define ‘digital footprint’
  • understand E-Professionalism
  • be aware of the pros and cons of Social Media
  • be able to implement tips on using social media
