Public Engagement

AstrobiologyOU at The Open University aims to promote astrobiology and increase the awareness and interest in astrobiology in an inclusive way, for a diverse range of audiences, including the members of the general public, young people and under-represented communities and places.

AstrobiologyOU will introduce a Public Engagement Strategy, which will support a number of events and activities. The aim is not only to promote our academic research to the general public, but to enable active participation with astrobiology research and innovation as well as to increase understanding and awareness of the scientific, governance and ethical challenges faced by astrobiology.
