Accessibility Statement for Making your learning count (YXM130)
Mode of study
All of this module's study materials are online. Online materials are composed of pages of text with images and audio clips of 1-7 minutes long, all with transcripts and subtitles, diagrams, interactive media and animations. Online materials also include links to external resources, online forums and online tutorial rooms.
This module provides one-to-one phone tutorials and online group tutorials. Although not compulsory, attendance at tutorials will help you consolidate your learning.
Working with others
You will be required to work with other students. This includes looking at, and commenting on, others students' work and reflecting on comments on your own work.
Diagrams and other visual content
The study materials contain some diagrams/graphs/photographs. Reading/interpreting/producing examples of these is an important part of the study of this module and is assessed. Figure descriptions are provided for all figures.
You will be required to search for, and make use of, third party material online. 150 hours of learning is from OpenLearn, or other specified OER such as FutureLearn, edX, Coursera and OERu.
This module has a number of tutor-marked assignment tasks, a Tutor-Marked Assignment (TMA), which must be submitted online via the OU electronic TMA system and an End-of-Module Assessment (EMA) submitted online.
You will receive feedback from your tutor on your submitted Tutor-Marked Assignment (TMA). This will help you to reflect on your TMA performance.
