Accessibility Statement for Telling stories: the novel and beyond (A233)

Mode of study

The module books are provided in print and online. However, some of the module materials are provided online only. Online materials are composed of pages of text with images and diagrams, audio/video clips of 1–20 minutes long (all with transcripts and subtitles), animations, interactive media and multiple choice self-assessed quizzes. Online materials also include links to external resources, online forums and online tutorial rooms.

Tuition strategy

This module provides online tutorials. Although not compulsory, attendance at these events will help you consolidate your learning.

Diagrams and other visual content

One of the set texts, Stardust TP, is a graphic novel, which includes a considerable number of illustrations. Interpreting these is an important part of the study of this text. One of the TMAs includes the option to answer the question is relation to Stardust TP, but it is not compulsory. Figure descriptions are provided for all figures.

Assessment

This module has Tutor-Marked Assignments (TMAs), which must be submitted online via the OU electronic TMA system.

Feedback

You will receive feedback from your tutor on your submitted Tutor-Marked Assignments (TMAs). This will help you to reflect on your TMA performance. You should refer to it to help you prepare for your next assignment.

Schedule
