Accessibility Statement for Exploring international relations: actors, issues, perspectives (D228)
Mode of study
Some of this module’s study materials are online. Online materials are composed of pages of text with images, audio/video clips of 1–20 minutes (all with transcripts/subtitles), diagrams, interactive media, animations, and multiple-choice self-assessed quizzes. Online materials also include links to external resources, and online forums and tutorial rooms. Printed materials are only provided for the two module books.
Tuition strategy
This module provides a range of learning events, including online tutorials and face-to-face day schools. The day schools provide you with an opportunity to attend seminars and presentations to extend your learning. Day schools are likely to be organised with other undergraduate modules across the School of Social Sciences and Global Studies in the Faculty. Each face-to-face learning event offers an online alternative. Although not compulsory, the tutorials and day schools will help you consolidate your learning and connect with other students, tutors and module team members.
Working with others
You will have the opportunity to use the module forums at several points in your study of the module. Online forums will enable you to collaborate with other students and help you exchange ideas with module tutors and authors. While most of the forum activities are not assessed, some of your forum postings will be part of the module assessment. However, if you cannot participate, your tutor will make alternative arrangements with you.
Diagrams and other visual content
The study materials contain a considerable number of maps, diagrams, graphs, and images. Reading, interpreting, and producing examples of these are important parts of studying this module. We provide descriptions for all essential figures.
Finding information
You will be required to search for and use third-party material online. We can provide alternatives to the required research material to enable you to meet the module's learning outcomes.
Assessment
This module has tutor-marked assignments and an exam.
