Dan Rust and colleagues launch The Grimm Network

Dan Rust and colleagues Felix Flicker (Cardiff), Henna Koivusalo (Bristol), and Mike Whittaker (Glasgow) have launched The Grimm Network, a series of wandering meetings on all aspects of aperiodic order.

Mahfuzur Khokan awarded London Mathematical Society Early Career Fellowship

PhD student Mahfuzur Khokan has been awarded a London Mathematical Society Early Career Fellowship to work at the University of East Anglia with Professor Mizanur Khondoker on Developing statistical models to correct for biases in skin colour measurement machines.

Our members include two Whitehead Prize winners, a Bradford Hill medallist, a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society, a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics.

As well as research funded by significant external grants from funders such as EPSRCMRC, the BBSRC, the EU and the Leverhulme Trust, we make significant contributions to the public awareness and understanding of science, in particular through collaborations with the BBC, for example in the long-running acclaimed Radio 4 series More or less.
