OU bursaries

Available only to OU Honours graduates, take a look at the funds we offer to help lower the cost of your postgraduate study.

The Crowther Fund

Named after the late Lord Crowther, The Open University’s first Chancellor, this fund is intended to help Open University graduates who want to build on their first degree by contributing towards further study, research or a period of voluntary work.

The Robert Beevers Memorial Fund

Named after Dr Robert Beevers, one of The Open University’s ‘founding fathers’, the fund is intended for research-related study. It contributes to tuition fees or study-related costs.

How to apply

Both funds are independent of financial circumstances, and you can apply to both through the Crowther Fund application.

We are currently closed for applications and will open again in November 2024.

For more information about either award, email ou-crowther-fund@open.ac.uk

Studying with the OU suits my personal circumstances and I enjoyed doing my first degree, so when it came to thinking about a masters degree, the OU was the obvious choice.
