The Professional and Digital Learning theme addresses critical global challenges. We coordinate responses with partners in multinational companies, professional bodies, academic institutions, and civil society organisations to improve the ways people and organisations learn.
In an era of political, social, and economic uncertainty, the ways people and organisations work and learn are changing fast. Learning for work is critical for innovation and sits at the top of political agendas in most nations. Yet, most countries and organisations struggle to improve learning as work transforms.
Research is conducted in sectors including Energy, Health, Finance, Policing, Education, and International Development. It is focused on specific challenges and can provide solutions by unpacking complex problems, informing how to achieve critical targets, and measuring progress. Projects can develop outcomes such as insights into knowledge mobilisation or self-regulated learning, knowledge-sharing approaches, and tools to measure and improve learning.
Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and an MA or research methods training at MA level (or equivalent). If you are not a UK citizen, you may need to prove your knowledge of English.
