Courses for international students
Choose from flexible online courses designed to fit around your life, wherever you are based. Start with an undergraduate qualification, build specialist postgraduate knowledge or study a standalone module to develop your skills.
Undergraduate
Undergraduate study is often the first step into higher education. With the OU, you can study for a full bachelor's degree or begin with a shorter qualification that can stand alone or count towards further study later.
Many OU qualifications are built in stages, so you can progress from a certificate to a diploma and then to a degree, depending on your goals and the qualification you choose.
Bachelors degrees
A full undergraduate degree, also known as an honours degree.
Diplomas of Higher Education
A respected qualification in its own right, and equivalent to two-thirds of a bachelors degree.
Certificates of Higher Education
An accessible first step into university study and equivalent to the first third of a bachelors degree.
Integrated Masters Degrees
A route that combines undergraduate and masters-level study in one qualification.
Open University Certificates
A focused qualification that can help you build confidence and subject knowledge.
Standalone modules
Study a single module to explore a subject, gain academic credit or develop skills.
Postgraduate
If you already have a degree or equivalent experience, postgraduate study can help you deepen your knowledge, change direction or support your career development.
Masters degrees
Study modules towards an internationally respected qualification while gaining specialist academic, professional or technical skills.
Postgraduate diplomas
Work towards a widely recognised qualification that is equivalent to two-thirds of a masters degree.
Postgraduate certificates
Ideal for professional and career development, this is the first step towards a masters degree as well as being a valuable qualification in its own right.
Postgraduate modules
Study individual postgraduate modules to build your skills or explore a new interest – and count them towards a qualification if you decide to take your studies further.
