The Philosophy discipline welcomes applications for graduate work on political philosophy. Several members of the Philosophy Department have research interests in this area, including Jon Pike, Sean Cordell, and Sophie-Grace Chappell. Applicants are advised to consult their individual pages to discover their particular research interests.
Research and research students are at the heart of the discipline. In joining us, you would join a lively and friendly graduate community. The discipline hosts papers by visiting speakers throughout the year and an annual graduate conference where students give papers on their work in progress.
Entry requirements
Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent). Most successful applicants to the research degree programme have an MA in Philosophy (or equivalent). If you are not a UK citizen, you may need to prove your knowledge of English.
